Montana’s Most “Montana” Get Away Has Serious History
It's no secret that many of the popular spots in Montana aren't actually for Montanans to enjoy.
Tourism is a big deal here in Montana, with billions of dollars in revenue coming from folks who don't call Montana home. For some, that's a big no-no. They long for the days when Montana wasn't on the radar, or the place that the rich and famous come to play. However, from an economic standpoint, profit is a good thing, and there is a ton of it coming from people who come here to "get away".
Montana has several high-end resorts that charge a lot of money to stay. There is Paws Up, the One and Only, the Ranch at Rock Creek, and Triple Creek, just to name a few. These places are known for their exclusivity as well as all of the amenities they offer.

However, for those who aren't looking to spend a couple of grand a night, there are options where folks can go, stay, and really enjoy themselves in the beauty of Big Sky Country.
One of the oldest places to experience "Montana" is located south of Livingston.
For those who are looking for a little relaxation, a wonderful meal, and a soak, you would be hard-pressed to find a better spot than Chico Hot Springs. For well over 100 years, Chico Hot Springs has been serving Montanans, as well as folks from out of state.

Known for its rustic charm, the resort is a throwback to the "old" Montana days; heck, you can even rent out a covered wagon to call home for a day or two.
Not only can you enjoy the soothing waters of the hot spring, but the historic dining room also features an impressive menu, including a dessert that has been featured in many national publications: the famous Flaming Orange. Oh, and if you're thinking about getting the Beef Wellington, do it. It's amazing.
