Original story from 7/11:
A search is currently underway for a suspect in the Quinn Creek area of Bozeman Pass, who was reportedly involved in a shooting with law enforcement early Wednesday morning.
Shaunesy Cole has been named as the suspect by authorities.
Cole was apparently pulled over east of Livingston on I-90, shortly after midnight, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He fled the scene in the vehicle he was driving, leading authorities on a chase heading westbound on I-90.
Cole's vehicle eventually came to a stop on Quinn Creek Road. He then reportedly fired at law enforcement, who opted not to return fire and backed away from the scene. Cole then fled on foot, according to authorities.
There was a female passenger in the vehicle with Cole, she was apprehended shortly after law enforcement located the vehicle near the Jackson Creek interchange off of Frontage Road.
Cole is a 36 year old white male, 5′ 11″ tall, 170 lbs. with a red mohawk haircut. Law enforcement is actively searching for Cole in the Quinn Creek area. If Cole is located, do not approach and call 911.
According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Cole was found guilty of assaulting a peace officer in 2001.
