Disturbing Sexual Abuse Charge Lands Montana Man In Jail
A recent arrest took a monster off the streets and offline in Bozeman.
A 32-year-old man was recently arrested and charged with sexual abuse of children after sexually explicit conversations and photos were found on a gaming system he was using to interact with a 12-year-old child.
According to court documents, the man claimed the 12-year-old was his "boyfriend", confessing to a co-worker that the boys age made the relationship problematic. Obviously causing concern to the co-worker, they made the call to the Bozeman Police Department, stating what he was told.
Police followed up with the call of concern and found that the allegations had some truth behind them. Again, according to court documents, the 32-year-old man stated to officers, "Adults my age would like to be sexual with kids."
According to the Gallatin County jail roster, the man is in custody with a $100,000 cash bond.
To keep your family members safe, it's important to know who you are talking to not only online, but in your neighborhood. As citizens we have a right to know where sexual and violent offenders are living at all times. Which brings up a concern. With the influx of people coming to Bozeman with no 'physical address', how are registered offenders tracked?
