The movie Hocked is Bozeman in every way. The director Steve Drake is from Bozeman, some of the cast is from Bozeman, and it was shot in Bozeman. Even the soundtrack features music from Bozeman musicians.

If you missed the movie's sold out premier at the Ellen last week, you have another chance to catch it before it heads off to film festivals across Montana. Hocked will be shown at the Emerson this Friday, January 17, at 7 p.m. & 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.

Hocked is an independent dark comedy that begins when a double-crossed deal between dirty police detectives and ruthless drug enforcers goes awry. A struggling addict musician (played by Rich LeDoux, one of our former Townsquare Media co-workers) finds himself in possession of a stolen item that can put an end to the out-of-control, bloody feud. So naturally, he heads down to the local pawn shop to score a few bucks off it.
