We all know the roads can get a little wild, especially near the bigger cities here in Montana. And today, May 6th at about 1:21 p.m., Bozeman saw just how wild it can get.

Things got western fast as the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, Bozeman Police Department, and Montana Highway Patrol responded to a high-speed chase that started after a reported road rage incident involving a weapon.

According to initial reports, the suspect allegedly flashed a weapon during the encounter and then took off, kicking off a pursuit through Bozeman streets. The chase came to an end on 7th Avenue when the suspect collided with a Bozeman Police Department vehicle.

The officer involved is thankfully recovering and did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. More good news... his K-9 partner in the vehicle came out without a scratch.

The male suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Following the crash, the Bozeman Police Department turned the case over to the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, which will now handle the remainder of the investigation.

The Sheriff's Office shared the official report on their Facebook page not long after the incident.

Meanwhile, a front-row witness caught the dramatic moment on video and shared it on the "Bozeman Bad Drivers" Facebook page. The footage, credited to Jordan Clement, shows the exact moment of the crash. His caption summed it up best: "I can't believe I got this on film."
