Bozeman Electrician Arrested for Allegedly Running Over Client
Bozeman police have arrested a man who is accused of running over a Party City employee.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. on Friday, September 6th, Bozeman police were contacted about a disorderly male. Dispatch advised the officer that an electrical employee, Brian Belling, was being belligerent outside the Party City that is set to open for Halloween and is located next to Michael's on 19th Ave.
According to the reporting party and Party City employee, Belling represented an electrical company and arrived at his location to install lights inside the store. The Party City employee had to call Belling back after the job was not previously completed.
Belling arrived back at the store to finish the job, but apparently left unannounced. The Party City employee received a call that Belling was leaving the store and at that point he ran outside to get a work order from Belling. Belling then reportedly began to get belligerent.
The store employee says that Belling began yelling, cussing, and then lurched his truck forward. The Party City employee, who was standing in front of the truck, says he was struck and knocked to the ground. After Belling allegedly ran the reporting party over, he fled the scene.
The officer interviewed both parties and Belling was placed under arrest for knowingly causing bodily injury to another with a weapon, his 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.
