I'm a barbeque guy.

I grew up outside of the barbeque capital (no, that's not in Texas) and while I enjoy cooking at home, there are a couple of things I won't try and one of them is ribs. Now, I'm told that ribs aren't hard to make, but I'm a little leery, plus Montana has plenty of options when it comes to delicious ribs.

While barbeque is a bit like religion, everyone thinks theirs is the best, I'm a big fan of the ribs from Follow 'Yer Nose down in Emigrant. In fact, I would place them in the Top 3 best ribs I've ever had.

Of course, there are lots of other places to grab some great ribs. Yellow House and Bourbon in Bozeman. Sheridan's and Bar 3 in Belgrade, Blues in Billings, Fire Hole in West Yellowstone, and the list goes on and on.

But which Montana barbeque joint as the best ribs in the state?

According to Cheapism, the best ribs in Montana can be found at Notorious P.I.G. in Missoula. With a couple locations around the town, Notorious P.I.G. is certainly used to accolades, as they have received many over the years. The menu is based on St. Louis style barbeque (Kansas CIty is better)

I've never eaten there, but looking at their menu, they have all the items you would want from a barbeque joint. Meat by the pound, ribs, brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork and more. Oh, and they have multiple sauces for you to try, which is nice, because some folks prefer a certain barbeque region over another.
