When I first started in radio, I had some weird shifts.
One of my first full-time gigs was the 7-Midnight guy at a country station in the middle of America. I would go to work, do the shift, wrap up any extras I had to do, and then it was time to eat. The problem? There wasn't too much open at 1 am.
Granted, that was a few years back, but not much has changed when it comes to the availability of dining options after a certain time. The truth is, there aren't a whole lot of restaurants that are open 24 hours, especially in Montana.
Long gone are the days of all of the truck stop cafes that feed hungry folks after a night out on the town, or just weary travelers who happen to be passing through. Oh sure, there are still a handful of places here and there, like the Oxford Cafe in Missoula or Mr. Burrito's in Bozeman, but they're becoming harder to find.

Our friends over at Foods_Insight ranked the best 24-hour restaurants in each state, and when it comes to Big Sky Country, if you want the best, you need to head over to Helena.
Shelly's Country Cafe is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and serves all the diner favorites you would expect, like all of your favorite breakfast dishes like biscuits and gravy, steak and eggs, omelets, and pancakes. They also have a great selection of sandwiches and burgers, plus classics like Salisbury Steak and Liver and Onions.
Oh, and did we mention that all of their pies are homemade? So, after a delicious meal, you can satisfy that sweet tooth as well.
