This Saturday, May 12, 20 The National Association of Letter Carriers will help Stamp Out Hunger in Southwest Montana including the greater Big Sky area.

Now in its 20th year, the annual food drive has grown from a regional to a national effort that provides assistance to the millions of Americans struggling to put food on the table.

In 2011, in the greater Gallatin Valley area, 21,000 pounds of food was collected for distribution at area food banks.

To participate in the 20th Stamp Out Hunger food drive in your community, just leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 12.

Your letter carriers will collect these food donations as they deliver the mail and take them to your area's food bank.
