Reason #42 Why I Don’t Diet
Researchers at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York said new research shows that dieters' brain cells eat themselves.
The study found that one reason dieters have trouble losing weight is that the lack of nutrition in the diet forces the brain cells to eat themselves for energy.
Scientists say this process actually makes the feeling of hunger much worse.
According to Telegraph, testing on mice revealed that stopping the cells from eating themselves prevented levels of hunger from rising.
