ZooMontana Reveals New Arrivals Right In Time For Brawl Of The Wild
It is that time of year that all football fans in Montana look forward to. The biggest showdown of the season. The one game that truly matters and decides bragging rights until the next clash. The Brawl of the Wild. Montana State University versus the University of Montana. The Cats versus the Griz. The entire state is buzzing with excitement heading into this weekend, with kickoff set for noon on Saturday.
Since everyone across Montana is getting in on the spirit of rivalry week, ZooMontana decided to join the fun with some big news of its own. For the first time in the zoo’s history, two bobcats will officially call the zoo home.
Jessica Hart, President and CEO of ZooMontana, said this was the perfect moment to introduce the new arrivals. She shared that the Brawl of the Wild is a special time in the state and that bringing in their own pair of bobcats made the announcement even more meaningful. With three grizzly bears already living at the zoo, Hart said it feels like an honor to now represent both sides of the iconic rivalry.
The two bobcats were orphaned in northwest Montana. One is a six-month-old male, and the other a three-month-old female. To celebrate the new additions, the community is invited to support their favorite team by donating non-perishable food items at the zoo. Each item counts as a vote for either the Cats or the Griz. The team with the most support will have its flag flown proudly over ZooMontana for the entire week. All food donations will go directly to Family Service, a local partner of the zoo.
