If you are a nature nerd like me, you will love this. One of the greatest perks of living in Montana is having Yellowstone National Park practically in our backyard. It is easy to forget how fortunate we are to have world-class wildlife, geothermal features, and history just a short drive away. Being this close has definitely sparked my curiosity and pushed me to learn more about the park and the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem.
As I was scrolling Facebook, I found a way to take that interest even further without leaving my house. The ad got me...
The Yellowstone Summit Experience is a 4-day online event packed with inspiration and insight. From February 19 through 22, more than 30 presentations will be released, each running about 20 to 45 minutes. New sessions drop daily.
The 2026 speaker lineup includes park leadership, researchers, outdoor guides, historians, artists, filmmakers, and storytellers. Topics range from park updates and geothermal activity to backcountry adventures, and a lot more. It is designed for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the park we all love.
There is a VIP pass that includes a bunch of extra stuff, but it looks like the normal pass is top-tier as is. Some other notable events are a photo contest, live trivia, Q & A’s, and a few other activities.

The Hell's A-Roarin' Horse Drive

The Hell’s A-Roarin’ Horse Drive happens every Memorial Day weekend in Gardiner, Montana, as hundreds of horses are driven from the rodeo grounds up to the mountain town of Jardine. Hosted by Susan and Warren Johnson of Hell’s A-Roarin’ Outfitters, this Western tradition honors veterans and supports them in a meaningful way. All net proceeds from the event’s live auction go toward purchasing Action Trackchairs—custom, all-terrain wheelchairs that help disabled veterans regain their freedom and access to the outdoors. It’s a powerful mix of community, heritage, and heartfelt purpose.
