During the winter in Montana, shovelling driveways and sidewalks can become tedious and overwhelming, but it's just something you have to do.

Now, there are quite a few methods when it comes to removing snow and ice. Even if you use ice melter, you'll need to shovel the snow before applying it. With temperatures rising above freezing during the day and dropping below the freezing point at night, the melted snow can refreeze and become extremely slick.

Some people like to get creative when it comes to snow and ice removal. We've seen videos of people actually using a blow torch to melt snow and ice, but that method can be pretty dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Recently, a man in northern Idaho shared his favorite method for removing snow and ice from his property, and to be honest, it's something we've never ever thought of. The man uses a gas-powered leaf blower to break up the ice and remove it. Apparently, the air gets underneath the ice and separates it from the surface.

Judging by the video, the leaf blower trick seems easy and works pretty well. Not to mention, it's quite a bit safer than using a blow torch. Apparently, people have also been using a leaf blower to remove snow from their vehicles as well. The video was shared on the 4 News Now Facebook page. Watch the video below.

We love seeing people get creative when it comes to handling chores and duties around the house. If you have a fun, creative method for ice removal. we'd love to see it. If you have a leaf blower in the garage, it might be a good idea to pull it out and give this a try.
