At first, the planned demolition of a building may not seem like much of a spectator sport, but after watching these implosions, we can see its appeal.

There's something oddly poetic about the process, and the ensuing destruction is, well, a little beautiful, if we do say so ourselves. (From a distance, of course.) What was once a tall, firm, proud structure slowly dissolves into a giant plume of dust, leaving an empty silhouette in its wake.
