The Manhattan Police Department in Manhattan, Montana is currently accepting applications for two full-time police officers. Manhattan is a beautiful small town about 20 minutes west of Bozeman. The population of Manhattan is approximately 2,100.

Manhattan is a great place to live and raise a family and is close enough to Bozeman to enjoy all of its amenities, but far enough away to get away from all of the hustle and bustle. Manhattan is one of Montana's great small towns and the surrounding area has earned a reputation for world-class fly fishing, hunting, and skiing.

When at full staff, the Manhattan Police Department has five sworn officers. That includes the Chief of Police, one Sergeant,  one  Detective/Patrol Officer, two Patrol Officers, and a part-time Administrative Assistant.

Officers at the Manhattan Police Department work 12- hour shifts every other week and get to enjoy 4 days off. There is typically one officer on shift at a time. The starting wage for a new police officer in Manhattan is $26.76, but it could be more based on your experience.

If you’re new to law enforcement, you will go through a full Field Training Program and attend the Montana Law Enforcement Academy, which will be paid for by the Manhattan Police Department. If you're hired, you'll also get a great benefits package that includes health insurance, vision/dental, life insurance, and more!
