Layered underneath them is a deep lineup that blends roots, bluegrass, outlaw country, and a sprinkling of folk and jam band energy. Just to name a few of those artists on the lineup include Ryan Bingham, Of Monsters and Men, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Greensky Bluegrass.
What makes this festival feel truly Montana is the setting. Big Mountain Ranch sits with a creek cutting through the grounds, a working train track nearby, and mountains framing the whole scene. It is roughly an hour from Glacier National Park and you’ve got the fun town of Whitefish to explore.

The Hell's A-Roarin' Horse Drive

The Hell’s A-Roarin’ Horse Drive happens every Memorial Day weekend in Gardiner, Montana, as hundreds of horses are driven from the rodeo grounds up to the mountain town of Jardine. Hosted by Susan and Warren Johnson of Hell’s A-Roarin’ Outfitters, this Western tradition honors veterans and supports them in a meaningful way. All net proceeds from the event’s live auction go toward purchasing Action Trackchairs—custom, all-terrain wheelchairs that help disabled veterans regain their freedom and access to the outdoors. It’s a powerful mix of community, heritage, and heartfelt purpose.
