Troy Andersen Heads To Reese’s Senior Bowl Next Week
Many Bobcat fans will be watching one of the best linebackers to ever play at Montana State show off his skills at the premier senior bowl next week.
Montana State Bobcat linebacker Troy Andersen accepted an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl back in December 2021. The Reese's Senior Bowl is the top senior bowl to get invited for potential draft picks trying to improve their stock in the NFL Draft. Many high-profile players have played in this game. Scouts from every NFL team will be there talking to players, watching practice, and critiquing the game.
One part of the Reese's Senior Bowl that is huge for many of these players is that they will receive coaching directly from NFL teams. America's Team will be coached by the Detroit Lions staff, including head coach Matt Campbell. The National Team, who Troy Andersen will play linebacker for, will be coached by the New York Jets staff, including head coach Robert Saleh.
These coaches were selected for the Reese's Senior Bowl is because they both hold high draft picks and aren't in the process of hiring a new head coach. Plus, the New York Jets and the Detroit Lions have a high number of picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Troy Andersen's draft stock has been rising all year, and this game can propel him into an excellent position in this year's draft. Plus, if he makes a great impression during this game, it's possible to see one of the two teams coaching the game end up drafting Troy this April.
Don't miss the Reese's Senior Bowl next Saturday, February 5th, at 12:30 PM. For more details, check out Reese's Senior Bowl.
