Wednesday, May 5 is Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo celebrates a Mexican military victory in 1862 when Mexican soldiers defeated French military forces in the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. The victory occurred on May 5, 1862, and was a symbolic win for the Mexican government.

While Cinco de Mayo is considered a day of remembrance throughout most of Mexico, in America, we honor Mexican culture on the date every year by consuming tacos and drinking tequila and Mexican beer.

Many bars in the Bozeman area will be hosting Cinco de Mayo festivities on Wednesday if you'd like to partake in the celebration.

The perfect addition to any Cinco de Mayo celebration is a good taco. They not only pair incredibly well with tequila and beer, but they're also delicious. You don't have to look far to find a good quality taco in the Bozeman area. To help you out, we put together a list of a few of our personal favorite taco spots.

My personal favorite place to grab a taco in the Bozeman area is MR. Burritos. They not only have great tacos, but they have amazing burritos as well. MR. Burritos is located at 43 Milltown Loop Suite A in Four Corners. Click here to check out the menu.

Nina's Tacos & Tequila in Bozeman is also a great choice. The food is incredible, and their hand-picked Tequila and Mezcal selection is second to none in the entire state of Montana. Nina's is located at 5 West Mendenhall Street in downtown Bozeman. Click here to check out the menu.
