Montana Town Will Be The Most Popular City In U.S. This Summer

Summer will be here before you know it, and that means folks will be bringing their families to Big Sky Country for a little vacation. Whether they're heading to Yellowstone or Glacier National Parks, hundreds of thousands of folks will either be flying or driving to experience a little of the last best place.

The tourists are easy to spot.

They'll be driving their big Motorhomes or pulling their RVs. You will find them walking around town wearing their Montana-themed t-shirts, holding expensive cameras while their kids look completely bored. They will shop in our stores, buying everything Huckleberry and might even splurge on a Cowboy hat or two.

This, of course, is a typical Montana summer; what might not be typical, however, is the city that the majority of them will be visiting.

Before we reveal which Montana town is predicted to be the busiest city for summer travel in the country this year, let's look at Montana's 6 Most Beautiful Places.

Which Montana town will be the busiest U.S. city this summer?

You read that right, one Montana town is predicted to be the busiest summer destination in the United States this summer. So, which one is it? Bozeman? Missoula? Kalispell? None of those answers is correct.

According to The Travel, the busiest U.S. city for travel this summer will be Billings.

I know, I was shocked as well. Billings? Really? I mean, don't get me wrong, Billings is ok, but the busiest summer destination in the entire country? Billings??? Yep, Billings.

Billings appears to be in a bit of a boom. The Travel also reports that Billings is ranked 4th on the list of the Top 10 Towns Americans want to move to. Now, granted, there are some lovely parts of town. And they have that Scheels with the Ferris Wheel, but for many Montanans, Billings and Butte are considered the armpits of Montana (I would never say that, I think they're both wonderful)
