Wednesday on the XL Morning Show, I learned a few things I didn't know about proper brushing and toothbrushes in general. Here's a few things I learned:

  • Ally switches out her toothbrush on the first day of each season. Her dentist told her that's an easy way to remember when to change out your old brush for a new one. Apparently changing it when it starts to smell is not a good idea.
  • They make toothbrushes with blue strips that wear down as you use it. When the blue disappears, it's time to change out your toothbrush.
  • Illness: If you or your child has been ill, you should replace that toothbrush to prevent the spread of bacteria.

Wow! I can't wait to see what I learn on the first day of summer!
