Montana VS Texas: Which State Has The Edge?

Before we dive too deeply into this, let me say that not only have I lived in Texas, but I've also married a woman from Texas. So, I am well aware of the immense pride that comes from the Lone Star State and how its native sons and daughters love to brag about it, even when they no longer reside there.

Texans are a prideful people, but so are Montanans.

Both like to bring up whatever generation they are (4th, 5th, etc). Rodeo and college football are a way of life in both states. Both dislike California. Both are filled with tough people who are not afraid of work and like to talk about how great it was before all the outsiders moved in.

Now, if you were to compare the two in a head-to-head competition, which state would come out on top? Would the Lone Star State rise to the occasion, or would the Last Best Place take the crown?

Now, keep in mind this is one website's opinion. I have lived in both, and while there is some truth above, especially when it comes to the affordability aspect, I would pick Montana every day of the week. Not only is the Treasure State much more beautiful, but there are fewer people, less road work, and it's a heck of a lot cooler.
