One of the great debates this time of year is when is it time to take down the Christmas Tree. Who knew that there was an actual day for it? Well, today is the day.

Here is a special recipe to help you keep your tree fresh if you get a real one. Take one or two-quart bottles of water and add two tablespoons of lemon juice. Then add one tablespoon of sugar and finally up to a tablespoon of bleach.

I was raised with artificial trees, so I've never had a real one.  My wife, she likes the whole "real tree" experience. For me, it's probably the fact that for my entire childhood, my parents told me that we couldn't have a real tree because "it can burn down the house".

The Custer Gallatin National Forest now has Christmas tree permits available at all seven Ranger Districts and at numerous local businesses.

The City of Bozeman’s forestry division will be recycling Christmas trees again this year as a courtesy service for city residents.

If you still need to get rid of your Christmas tree, the city of Bozeman wants it! Rather than tossing your tree out with the trash, city officials prefer you drop it off at one of four locations in town:
