The term "brain rot" doesn't sound like a good thing.

It seems when referring to the condition, one is actually referring to how y much time you spend looking at screens. The proper term for it is called digital overconsumption, and it seems to be overtaking our youth across the country.

At the risk of sounding like an angry old man, I'm amazed at how young children are when they get their first phone. I remember being a kid and hoping my Mom wouldn't pick up on the land line when I was trying to be smooth with a girl. (she usually did)

While I enjoyed video games and MTV growing up, I also spent time outside riding bikes, playing with my friends, and just enjoying being a kid.

The folks over at Juice Plus decided to take a look at all 50 states to see which state has the highest amount of "brain rot" among young people. You should know that in their research, over 60 percent of youth fall into the high or very high category of brain rot.

How is Montana effected by "brain rot"?

So what about Montana? Were do we rank among the other 49 states?

Before we get to where Montana ranks, let's take a look at the state on the top of the brain rot list. It seems that Utah takes the top spot with the most youth suffering from digital overconsumption.

As far as Montana goes, we are ranked at the bottom of the list, meaning we have the least amount of brain rot in our state. Now, that doesn't mean that we don't suffer from digital overconsumption, it just means that we suffer from it less than the other 49 states.
