Rouse Ave. Construction Set To Resume

Starting Monday, March 30th the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will continue construction on Rouse Avenue from Main Street to Oak Street.  The project began last year with crew installing box culverts that allow Bozeman Creek to flow underneath the road.

The work will resume next week and will effect those who use Rouse Ave. Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The construction on Rouse Ave., one of Bozeman's busiest thoroughfares, will expand Rouse to include a center turn lane, bike lanes, and sidewalks.  Additionally, this project will improve eight intersections, with ADA ramps, curbs and gutters, sidewalks and crosswalks, and E. Peach Street and E. Mendenhall Street will have new traffic signals.

Originally MDT was planning an open house for the project but canceled plans due to concerns of COVID-19.

The week of April 6th through the 14th Rouse Ave. between Oak and Tamarack will be closed and people will be detoured. Also, from mid-June to mid-August Rouse Ave. will have a detour for a major closure between Main Street and Lamme Street.
