Rob Ash Fired as Bobcat’s Head Coach

MSU Athletic Director Peter Fields made it official at a noon press conference on Monday: Rob Ash has been fired as head coach of the MSU Bobcats. Fields said all of the assistants will be retained through the search process for a new coach, but there's no guarantee the new coach, when hired, will keep them on staff.

After lofty expectations going into this season, the Bobcats were 5-6, including a loss this past weekend to rival Montana. This was the first losing season for Ash with the Bobcats.

The search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
