Where To Celebrate Oktoberfest Across Montana In 2025
Fall is in the air! Well, fall is officially here as well, and that means all the festivities. From Bobcat football to homecoming parades, golden leaves, and the kind of crisp mornings that call for an extra-large hot coffee. Montana is buzzing. But if there is one thing you should circle in bold on your calendar this season, it is Oktoberfest. Nothing says fall quite like brats, brews, and a little oompah music in Big Sky Country.
Here are 5 Oktoberfests happening in Montana!
Great Northwest Oktoberfest – Whitefish
Whitefish knows how to party, and Depot Park will be hopping October 2–4 and October 9–11. With beer, contests, live music, and free downtown parking, this one is worth the drive.
"Get ready for authentic German beer, food, music and dancing. Entertainment will be provided by Europa — one of America’s most sought-after Oktoberfest bands — as well The Jordan Rody Band, featuring Jordan Rody — Alberta’s Polka King!" - The Great Northwest Octoberfest
Big Sky Oktoberfest
Raise your steins to Big Sky’s version of Bavarian tradition. With music, games, and plenty of unicque festivities. They will have orginal German games like Hammerschlagen, Stein Holding contest, and a Lederhosen Fun Run!
Livingston Oktoberfest
Local charm meets community fun in Livingston’s take on Oktoberfest. Some fun things that stand out at this festival include a pumpkin weight guessing contest, a visit from the llamas of Yellowstone Llamas, and a Stein Holding/Masskrugstemmen contest.
Queen City Oktoberfest – Helena
The Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds will host live music, rodeo action, craft vendors, and even an antique car show October 11–12. More here.

Central Montana Oktoberfest – Lewistown
On October 26, enjoy tastings from Central Montana brewers, food, raffles, costume contests, and live music. It is also a fundraiser for a great cause, Small Wonder’s non-profit endowment.
