The City of Bozeman has launched a new tool that allows residents to track their water usage, and hopefully help them save some money.

Dropcountr is a free water use portal for all City of Bozeman water customers. Through Dropcountr users can:

  • Track water use
  • Compare household water use to similar and most efficient households
  • Receive custom water saving goals
  • Track the cost of each gallon of water used within each households water rate tier

The City of Bozeman charges for water used in a single family home based on a tier system. Efficient and responsible water use is encouraged by offering lower rates for those that conscientiously use water each month.

According to the City of Bozeman, the area surprisingly receives an average of only 16 inches of precipitation annually and is considered a semi-arid climate and drought prone. With a heavy reliance on snowpack for the high quality water that Bozeman residents drink, it is hyper critical to practice smart water use.

For more information on Dropcountr residents can visit the city website or sign up online immediately.
