This isn't your Father's Montana.

Nope, things have changed a great deal here in Big Sky Country. What used to be a state filled with charming little towns where folks knew their neighbors by name is quickly becoming a state where folks come to buy their 2nd and 3rd homes.

Many of those historic Main Streets, once home to local hardware stores and barber shops, are now filled with high-end retail stores featuring athleisure wear and designer cowboy hats that cost hundreds of dollars. While some call it progress, many Montanans feel like it's all part of the downfall of a once-great state.

I'm somewhere in the middle. However, whatever side you find yourself on, it doesn't seem to stop the fact that Montana is becoming a playground for those with money. In fact, according to a new article, Montana has several neighborhoods where only the affluent can afford to call home.

It's not a secret that home prices have doubled and tripled across the Treasure State in the last few years. In certain parts of the state, a starter home will cost well over half a million dollars, which, of course, has made it difficult for those looking to become homeowners here in Montana.

The folks over at Money Inc. come out with a list of the 30 Richest Neighborhoods in Montana, and while we won't go over all 30, we have come up with the Top 10. While most of these areas shouldn't come as a big surprise, there might be a couple that come as a bit of a shocker.
