Montana’s Best Piece Of Pie And Where To Find It.
Grandpa Wolf wasn't a man of many words...partly because he stuttered.
However, when he did have something to say, we would listen up. One of the more famous quotes was "I only like two kinds of pie. Hot or cold." I believe Grandpa was on to something. Out of all the desserts out there, pie is my favorite.

Montana is no stranger to pie. You have the Pie Lady out in Three Forks, and there is the infamous "Pie Trail" that takes you through the middle of Montana, and now one source claims that the absolute best piece of pie you can find in America is right here in Montana.
Well, kinda.
Before we cut into the details (see what I did there?), let's check out 5 of the Best Old School Food Joints in Montana.

Montana's best piece of pie
Let's be honest, when you ask 100 people what their favorite type of pie is, you'll get multiple answers. While I'm not super picky, I do have my favorites. My all-time favorite was my Mom's Coconut Cream. My mom was a pie-making genius, and in her honor, we have Cocomut Cream every Holiday.
It's never as good as hers, but it helps us remember.
So, where can you find the best piece of pie in Montana? According to My Family Travels, not only is it the best piece of pie in Montana, but in America. The restaurant? Glacier Highland Restaurant. The flavor? Huckleberry.
Glacier Highland Restaurant has a full menu, and huckleberry is featured on the menu multiple times. There are the huckleberry pancakes, huckleberry oatmeal, the huckleberry hound burger, and the bison meatballs with the huckleberry glaze.
Then there is the pie.
There's nothing like the perfect piece of pie with the buttery, flaky crust that is baked to perfection. Throw in the filling, and top it with something delicious, and you are in culinary heaven.
So, what are some other popular Montana spots for pie? The Polebridge Bakery and Mercantile has terrific pie, as does the Coffee Pot outside of Four Corners. There's also Shellie's Country Cafe in Helena, The Western in Bozeman, and Stella's in Billings.
