When it comes to the worst streets in Montana, you could be talking about potholes, you could be talking about the number of drivers, or you could be talking about the street you live on.

In my hometown, we lived on a fairly busy street, and even though the speed limit was 25, you would often see people driving 50 mph or more. As a kid, I got a kick out of it. As an adult, I see those people as reckless and a danger to society.

I bring this up because some streets in Montana are just known to be bad. Whether it's the traffic, the location, or the condition of the road. Let's take Bozeman as an example, my current town.

Bozeman is growing fast, and with that comes growing pains, and one of those growing pains is the roads. Locals complain about the congestion, especially during tourist season. But the truth is, driving down 19th or 7th from about 4:30 to 6:30 is enough to make you cuss. Another pain is driving downtown. While I love the beauty of our downtown, driving down Main Street can be a real hassle.

It's a 4-lane road, and each direction gets two lanes. The problem is, if you're in the outside lane, the chances are you will get beside someone turning, and you're screwed. However, if you're in the inside lane, you will probably get behind a stopped delivery truck with its flashers on, or someone trying to back into an empty spot while you're trying to drive straight.

Which street is the worst in Montana

But Bozeman doesn't have the worst street in the state, nor does Billings. Butte, Great Falls, or Helena, although all of them show up on the list from Tera View USA. No, according to the report, many of the worst roads in Montana are located in Missoula.

So, which of the Missoula streets takes the top spot for the worst street in the state? Roads that made the list include Reserve, Brooks, and East Broadway, but the worst street in Missoula and the state of Montana to live on is the one and only South Higgins Ave.

As a former resident of Missoula, I can't really argue with the list. I went back for the first time in years a few months ago, and the traffic was terrible.
