Supporting our veterans is one of the most meaningful ways to give back. With the United States getting closer to its 250th anniversary, it feels fitting to recognize something happening right here in Bozeman. Montana State University just added another major honor to its list.

The university was just ranked the number one military friendly school in the country by MilitaryFriendly.com. It is a jump from last year, when MSU came in at number three, and the first time it has taken the top spot among large research institutions.
The rankings are based on a mix of data and surveys, looking at how well schools support veterans and military connected students. That includes things like graduation rates, career outcomes, financial assistance, and overall campus culture.

MSU is home to around 750 veteran and military connected students, with most using education benefits through the VA. A big part of that support comes from the Veteran Support Center on campus. It offers everything from academic help and financial guidance to a place where students can connect and feel supported.
