Best Sports Town In America? Not Even The Best Sports Town In Montana.
I was scrolling on social media yesterday and came across something that at first, I thought was a joke. Turns out, it wasn't, although I'm still laughing.
Apparently, Missoula has been named the "Best Sports Town in America" according to the folks over at USA Today. All the folks in Missoula are in celebratory mode, and I get it. I mean, to be able to vote in a poll an unlimited amount of times and be crowned the winner, that's something. But does it really make you the best?

Here's the truth, Missoula isn't the best sports town in America. Hell, they're not even the best sports town in Montana.
Seriously? How are you going to call yourself the best sports town in America when you can't beat in your instate rival in football...or basketball...or (insert another sport here) The truth? Missoula is so jealous that they're not Bozeman that they will grasp on to anything.
Oh, I know, I know, all of you that hate Bozeman are gonna be like "Nuh Uh" or will call it "Boz Angeles" however recent history shows that when it's all on the line, when it counts, the Griz fail.
I mean, first they tried to get ESPN Game Day, that didn't work, in fact Game Day decided to come to Bozeman and fell in love with it. Then there is that whole Brawl of the Wild thing. The year before last, we beat you at Bobcat Stadium, last year, we beat you at your place. Oh, and then beat you again a few weeks later in the playoffs...and which Montana team won a National Championship?
That's right...the Montana State Bobcats.

So enjoy the "voted on" award. Celebrate it, maybe even have a parade over it. Because while you're doing that, we'll be hanging our National Championship Flag high at Bobcat Stadium.
