Montana Says Goodbye To Another Popular Restaurant.
Growing up, I lived on the East Side of town.
The East Side was for the older crowd, quiet, not a whole lot going on, you know the type of place I'm talking about. Because of that, there wasn't a lot of retail on my side of town. We had a couple gas stations and a couple of grocery stores, but that was mostly it, well, except for Hardee's.

Although my hometown isn't very big, it's still one of those places that when you reach a certain age you don't want to "drive all the way across town". So, if we ever had take-out as a kid, Hardee's it was.
In fact, one of my first jobs was working at Hardee's. They didn't trust me up front, so I was in the back slinging burgers. However, I soon left the fast food career and moved on to something more glamourous, radio.
Hardee's has been in Montana since the late 70's and while a few have come and gone over the years, it looks the door is closing on the remaining locations. No more Hot Ham and Cheese, no more Frisco Burger, no more Monster Burger, no more Biscuits in the morning.
Of course, Hardee's is just the latest franchise to shut it's doors in Montana. Over the last several years, we've seen many business shut down locations or close down all together. JC Penny's, Macy's, JoAnn's, just to name a few.
According to multiple sources, the remaining Hardee's locations throughout Montana have or will close due to legal issues with the company.
It's never easy seeing something that's been a part of your life go away. I'm not really a fast food guy, but Hardee's was always solid and made a pretty good burger. I will miss them.
