Montana Pitmaster Classic: Annual Event Returns To Bozeman.

This weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the year.

Not only is it the return of Bobcat Football, but it's also the return of one of the best events in the state and it just so happens to take place in Bozeman this Friday night and Saturday. If you try hard, you might be able to start to smell the deliciousness early Friday morning.

We're talking about the Montana Pitmaster Classic this weekend in Bozeman. The event, which has gone on for several years now will not only crown the champion of Bar-B-Q in Montana but will bring in different teams from all over the country and a couple from Canada.

As always, the Montana Pitmaster Classic will be held at the Bozeman Kenyon Noble location and folks will be able to try some of the amazing creations on Friday night.

How can I try the different foods at the Montana Pitmaster Classic?

Not only is this the perfect opportunity to sample several different dishes, but it's a great way to be inspired to come up with ideas for you to make in your backyard. As someone who enjoys cooking, each year I attend the Pitmaster Classic, I come up with a new dish to try and master.

Friday night the different teams will be creating dishes that you can sample by purchasing "Bar-B-Q Chips". You can purchase the chips at the event, however, it is recommended that you buy them prior.

Chips are available at all three Kenyon Noble locations or the Bozeman YMCA.

Speaking of the Y, a percentage of proceeds from the chips will go to the organization. So not only are you eating world-class food, but you're always helping out the local YMCA which helps out thousands of kids and families around Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley.

What happens on Saturday at the Montana Pitmaster Classic?

Saturday is competition day and a great chance to meet the different teams, ask them questions, and even sample some of their competition food. Reps will also be on hand to see demos and ask questions about the brands they represent.
