Is Montana Home To Some Of The Best Trout Lakes In America?
There’s not much in life that beats a good day of fishing. Even if the fish aren’t biting, you’re still winning—finding that perfect little spot, soaking in the scenery, and just chillin’ on the water. That’s the goal… most of the time.
But let’s be honest—sometimes you’re out for catching (or at least a few bites). You want action. You want trout. So what do you do? You hit the Googles and start the hunt. I recently fell into one of those research rabbit holes and found a post from @brooktroutflyer listing the top ten trout lakes in America.
Now, whether these are actually the best trout lakes is still up for debate (and testing). But I was pretty pumped to see two of Montana’s own make the list—Quake Lake at #10 and Hebgen Lake all the way up at #2. I’ve been to both, and yep, I saw lots of fish rising and swing along the shoreline.
