If you are looking for something to do this Saturday and want to do something positive while you’re at it, we’ve got just the thing for you. It’s a night filled with food, fun, and community. All for a great cause.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 19th, the Bozeman Senior Center will host a benefit dinner and silent auction to support Julie Harris in her fight against degenerative scoliosis. Julie is facing the devastating possibility of losing her ability to walk as her spine continues to collapse. Without spinal revision surgery, hiking the beautiful trails of Montana, something she deeply loves, may no longer be possible. Her insurance and savings aren’t enough to cover the surgery and recovery costs, so the community is stepping up in a big way.

You can help by joining the fun at the Bozeman Senior Center, 807 N. Tracy Ave. The silent auction kicks off at 3 PM and runs until 6:30 PM. The chili dinner, donated by Texas Roadhouse, runs from 4 PM to 6 PM, and you better come hungry! Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids, which includes dessert, live entertainment, raffles, and plenty of good company.

Speaking of raffles... you could score a zip line adventure for two from Montana Adventure Zip Line Tours! Tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5, 15 for $10, or 25 for $15. Winners will be announced between 6 and 6:30 PM, and you must be present to win.

If you can’t make it but still want to help, donations are being accepted via Venmo or by emailing joinjuliescause@gmail.com.

So grab your friends, your appetite, and your giving spirit. Let’s rally around Julie and show what community really means here in Bozeman.
