Check Out What Might Be The Strangest Structure In Montana
For those of a certain age, they will remember all of the talk about the end of the world.
For a couple of decades, Montana children lived in fear and would practice, on occasion, getting under the desk in the case of a nuclear attack. Looking back, it was kind of ridiculous; it's not like a desk is going to protect you, but hey, we had to do something, right?
It was the height of the Cold War, and Montana was in the mix of things because of the Minuteman missiles.

Located north of Great Falls is a structure that was started but never completed. And now, 50-plus years later, it's still there, but now it's covered in graffiti and forgotten by anyone born after 1988.
So, just how big is the complex?
According to some, when construction stopped in 1974, only ten percent of the structure was complete. It was built to withstand a nuclear blast, and in some areas, walls were 10 feet thick. According to some historians, the purpose of the project was to protect Malmstrom Air Force Base from attack.
Check out the video of the structure below:
The official name of the structure is the Montana Perimeter Acquisition Site, and according to the information, the majority of the structure is actually underground, but access has been filled in, so it isn't reachable by those who would be curious enough to trespass.
Even though the structure was never finished, that didn't stop the government from spending millions of dollars on the project that at one time employed hundreds of people.
