4th of July Events In Montana: Parades, Rodeos & Fireworks
I hope you’ve got the biggest birthday of the year marked on your calendar. Celebrations will be popping off all across the country in honor of one very special birthday—and yes, we’re talking about America’s birthday: the 4th of July.
Independence Day marks the moment the 13 original colonies declared their freedom from British rule and began the journey of becoming the United States. Since then, it’s been a day filled with fireworks, flags, good food, and a whole lot of red, white, and blue.
There are incredible celebrations all over the country, but let’s be honest—there’s just something different about celebrating the 4th of July in Montana. Maybe it’s the mountain backdrop, maybe it’s the tight-knit towns, or maybe it’s just the way folks around here do things. If you’re in Southwest Montana and still piecing together your plans, here are a few events worth checking out...
Fireworks Show
Bozeman is hosting its 3rd Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. The show kicks off at 10 p.m. and runs about 25 minutes, lighting up the sky with a backdrop only Montana can provide.
Parades & Rodeo Fun
For a true small-town celebration, the 89th Annual Ennis Fourth of July Parade is one of the best around. It starts at 10 a.m., and with mountains on all sides and horses trotting down Main Street, it’s classic Montana charm at its best. Plus, don’t miss the Ennis Rodeo happening both July 3rd and 4th at the Ennis Rodeo Grounds—it’s a crowd favorite every year.
