Five-year-old Case took the stage at his school talent show to cover Cole Swindell's "You Should Be Here" — and the reason will melt your heart.

Case proved just how brave he was when he took the stage in front of his peers to sing a country song. He chose Swindell's beautifully heartbreaking "You Should Be Here," and according to Whiskey Riff, he dedicated the song to his puppy. The little boy lost his dog, so it was fitting that he chose a song about losing someone close to you.

In the video, Case holds a miniature acoustic guitar while on stage in front of a brightly-lit background. The Swindell track starts to play and brave Case moves closer to the microphone to start singing the words. He's confident on stage, gripping his guitar while quietly messing with the chords. He grows more into his performance toward the end, getting louder and louder.

At the end of the song, he politely says "thank you" to the applauding crowd. Watch the adorable video above in honor of Case's lost puppy — and try not to get a few feels!
