Former Bozeman Football Star Signs New NFL Deal
This former Bozeman football star will continue his NFL career with a new team and we are excited to see what happens next.
The NFL is the most popular sport in America and Montanans love watching the games in the Fall and Winter. The NFL is exciting, fun, and enjoyable for the whole family.
Montanans have been paying more attention to the NFL over the past few years due to the number of players that have reached the league from Montana and Montana State.
One player who played football at Bozeman High School and went to play collegiately at the University of Washington has been a source of pride for the Gallatin Valley.
That player is Will Dissly.
Will Dissly was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2018 NFL Draft and immediately became a favorite target for quarterback Russell Wilson. Dissly has fought through injuries and has been a consistent tight end in the NFL.
Sadly, he was cut by the Seattle Seahawks last week due to cap space and became a free agent.
Free agency started today, and Will Dissly has found a new home to play.
CBS Reports that Will Dissly has signed a three-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers for $14 million, and $10 million is guaranteed.
The Chargers are an exciting team in the NFL. They have a new coach, Jim Harbaugh, who won the NCAA Football Championship with Michigan and reached the Super Bowl when he coached the San Francisco 49ers.
Dissly will also have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL throwing the ball to him Justin Herbert.
This new team has the potential to pay dividends for Dissly, and we can't wait to see what the 2024 season brings for him.
