Montana’s Tastiest Fast Food Creation Will Surprise You

When we think of fast food creations, this is one dish I was not expecting to be on the list for Montana.

We love our food here in Montana. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, or dessert, we want it all. It could be cooked at home, served in a restaurant, or going through a drive-thru, and we will all enjoy it the same.

Food is a big deal in Montana, and we are very protective. There are certain foods that Montana is uniquely known for, like huckleberries, pork chop sandwiches, and other items, but this was a surprise.

Lovefood made a list of Every State's Tastiest Fast Food Creation and Where to Find It, but the pick for Montana was a wild choice. I expected the food to be pork chop sandwiches, pasties, or huckleberry milkshakes, but I was wrong.

Montana's tastiest fast food creation is the elk burger.

Elk burgers are lean, delicious, and have a ton of protein, but I don't know many fast food spots that serve them. It's hard to find regular restaurants that serve elk burgers because they only have them on menus during certain hunting seasons when the meat is available.

Lovefood says the best place to get the elk burger in Montana is in Gardiner at The Corral. The Corral serves up delicious elk burgers all summer because they shut down during the winter. So if you want to get a tasty elk burger from The Corral, you better head there soon. It's worth the trip, trust us.

There are a few other places serving elk burgers in the Bozeman area, but the only one that comes to mind is Squire House in Downtown Bozeman.

If you are lucky enough, find a friend with too much elk meat on their hands and make an elk burger yourself. It's worth it.
