Utah Realtor Laura Rosqvist released the Top 10 states where homeownership will be out of reach within the next 5 years, and it might not come as a big surprise that the majority of the states making the list are located in the western part of the United States.
So, how did this happen?
Well, COVID is partly to blame. During the pandemic, folks started to relocate, and one of the places they were heading to was Montana. There's also the fact that Montana is an extremely beautiful place and offers tons to do for outdoor enthusiasts. All of this has contributed to the rise of property values, with people asking far more than these properties are worth.
Great news if you're a property owner looking to sell, not so great if you're looking to become a Montana homeowner.
