Remember the big Cambridge Analytical scandal back in 2018? The one where Facebook (now Meta) allegedly shared millions of Americans' personal information with the British consulting firm to glean voter profiles? That was a pretty slimy thing to do. The company never admitted guilt, but they have settled the class action lawsuit that followed the scandal and they probably owe you money.

If you had a Facebook account between May 24th, 2007, and December 22nd, 2022 you can submit your claim in the class action lawsuit. Here is the link to submit your claim. It's very simple and you can choose various payment methods (Venmo, pre-paid card, bank account, etc.). The entire process took me just a couple of minutes.

Claims are due by August 25th, 2023.

According to the settlement agreement, attorneys estimate 250 million to 280 million adults were using Facebook during the time period in question and are eligible for compensation. Users must apply by August 25th. If you choose to opt out, you need to do so by July 26th.

Don't go buy out and buy a new sports car with your anticipated windfall.

The $725 million settlement is certainly a lot of money, but claimants will probably only receive a few dollars from the settlement after lawyer fees. There is a point-based system that determines how much you may receive, based on how many months your Facebook account was active during the time period. I'm fine with a few dollars. Give me my two bucks, Zuck! Find the settlement portal HERE.

20 License Plates Banned In Montana

This is just a small glimpse at banned license plates in the state of Montana. There are well over 4000 that could be added to this list.

Now why some of these are banned is beyond me. I don't find any of them offensive, that's for sure; the state of Montana has the right to refuse:

"any combination of letters or numbers, or both, that may carry connotations offensive to good taste and decency or which are misleading or a duplication of license plates provided elsewhere."- Montana Motor Vehicle Department

What plates are banned in your state? Hopefully, they are not as picky as Montana.
