Montana might be known for its endless skies, mountains, and national parks, but there's another side to the Treasure State. Something that's a little less sunshine and a lot more goosebumps. Whether you're a skeptic or a full-on ghost hunter with your own EVP recorder, these three spots might make even the bravest Montanan shiver just a little.

1. Virginia City's Bonanza Inn
Virginia City looks like a step back in time, and apparently, some of its residents didn't get the memo about moving on. Visitors regularly report seeing a black-robed figure walking the streets, thought to be Sister Irene. She was a beloved nun from the town's gold rush days. Guests at the Bonanza Inn have heard unexplained knocks, smelled odd scents, and even packed up to sleep in their cars after a night of paranormal disturbances.

2. Little Bighorn Battlefield, Crow Agency
This is a place already heavy with history, tragedy, and emotion. Visitors say the energy here is overwhelming, sad, powerful, and impossible to ignore. No surprise with nearly 400 people dying on this ground, it is bound to leave something. Some say that the heart of supernatural encounters is at the Stone House. It was built in 1894 for the groundskeepers, and early on, the workers received the nickname "Ghost Herders."

3. Rialto Theater, Bozeman
Who knew one of Bozeman's coolest venues might also be one of its most haunted? Staff and visitors have reported mists creeping toward the stage, chairs moving on their own, and voices caught on EVP recorders. One famous voice recording includes someone repeatedly saying "Pablo," believed to be the spirit of opera singer Pablo Elvira.
