When it comes to talking about things being haunted, some folks simply don't believe in any of that. I am not one of those people; I've seen a few things in my life that absolutely make me a believer in ghosts.

In fact, some of these experiences happened when I worked at a radio station that used to be an old bank.

The old vault had been turned into a conference room and on more than one occasion, I watched as some sort of dark figure entered the vault. I'll admit, I was a little taken back the first couple of times, but whatever it was, it didn't do me harm, so I let it go.

So when it comes to Montana, where are some of the most haunted places? Well, that seems to depend on who you ask.

Empty and haunted attic

Haunted In Hamilton

According to insider.com, the most haunted building in Montana is the Daly Mansion over in Hamilton. I've been to the Daly Mansion a few times, and other than a few loud tourists, I've never seen anything that would make me think it was haunted. However, there have been reports of things being "misplaced" over the years.

The Ghosts Of Deer Lodge

The old prison in Deer Lodge is also known for being haunted. The prison, which shut down in the late '70s, saw many of Montana's most vile humans within its walls. According to hauntedrooms.com, the former inmate known as "Turkey Pete" is considered to be one of the most well-known ghosts in the prison.

Visions in Virginia City

If you're looking to step back in time and enjoy yourself, Virginia City in the summer is a pretty good place to be. The town has a huge history of notorious behavior, including several hangings. Plus, there is the whole vigilante movement that started there years ago. It is also said that one of the most haunted places in Montana is the Bonanza Inn in Virginia City. In fact, according to southwestmt.com, the Inn is believed to be haunted by Sister Irene, a nun that was known to look after folks in the community.

Hotel Haunting At Glacier

Glacier National Park is not only one of the most popular tourist destinations, but according to some reports, they also have one of the most haunted hotels. The Many Hotel, which is located on the east side of the park, is thought to have tons of paranormal activity. According to discoveringmontana.com, many employees and visitors have claimed to see a "woman in red" standing in the guests' rooms. Plus, when room 308 is unoccupied, there have been several reports of strange sounds.
