When I was a kid, Halloween was one of the best days ever.

Of course, my Mom would later ruin it for me when she told me at 12 that I was too old and fat to Trick-Or-Treat. My best year Trick-Or-Treating, however, was the year that the Old Man took us. I'm not sure what he did to get that sort of punishment, but it was glorious.

My Mom would always take us to her friends, and we would have to pose for pictures and then get Russell Stover Candy. The year my Dad took us, he just stopped at the end of a long street and said, "Go and don't come back until you've knocked on every door."

I hope all the Montana kids that will be Trick-Or-Treating won't have to pose for too many pictures or have a sack full of Russell Stover's. Speaking of candy, when it comes to Halloween, what's the number one candy Montanans are handing out?

When I was a kid, I loved Nerds, Reese's, Blow Pops, Twix, and Skittles. What I didn't like back then, or now, were those nasty things that came in the waxed orange and black wrappers. I believe they are called Peanut Butter Kisses, and I'm not a fan.

What's the number one Halloween Candy in Montana?

You can ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers, but according to Google Trends, the number one candy in Montana is cheap and a favorite among kids and adults.

No, it's not Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, or Snickers.

According to the folks over at APT 2B, the number one Halloween Candy in Big Sky Country is the Dum Dums Pops. The "Pops" or suckers have been around for almost 100 years and come in several different flavors. Oh, did we mention they're cheap? You can get a big bag for a reasonable price, and they're pretty flavorful.
