This weekend, when you're out Christmas shopping, drop by the Owenhouse Ace Hardware stores on Main Street and pull off a mitten from the giving tree. The mittens will tell you about a child who needs a present this Christmas season. Every child deserves to have a present at Christmas.

The giving trees are provided by Montana Family Wrap Around. Below is press release that explains what MFWA is all about and how you can help make Christmas special for a Gallatin County child.

Montana Family Wrap Around (MFWA) is proud to announce The Christmas Giving Tree project. MFWA contracts with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office and Youth Court Services to serve the youth and families of Gallatin County.

The Staff of MFWA takes referrals from both agencies of youth that may be struggling and need additional support. These youth come from all walks of life but all have a story.
MFWA began The Christmas Giving Tree project as a way to provide gifts to ALL the youth they serve, as well as the siblings. For some, these gifts generously bought and donated by our community (YOU!) are the only gifts these families receive.

The trees are set up in BOTH Owenhouse Ace Hardware stores located on Main Street (downtown) and West Main (across from Rosauers). There are paper mittens with identifying information and interests for each youth hung on the trees. We chose to identify the youth’s hobbies to allow the youth to begin to engage in something positive.
The gifts (wrap or unwrapped) need to be returned to the gift bin’s (next to the tree’s) no later than December 20, 2015, with the chosen mitten attached.
Thank you for giving to the youth of MFWA and of Gallatin County.
