Could we see the second Montana State Bobcat make an appearance in the NBA soon? It's a possibility.

406 MT Sports is reporting that former Montana State Bobcat Tyler Hall is inching closer to reaching the NBA. Tyler Hall has signed a non-guaranteed deal with the New York Knicks to fill out the rest of their preseason roster. This means that there is no promise he will make the NBA roster at the beginning of the season and could be cut at any time. This is a big step though for Tyler Hall.

The past few years Tyler Hall has been within the New York Knicks organization for the past two years. Hall has played for their G-League(development league) the Westchester Knicks and their summer league Knicks team. This contract could easily help him with the team in the future. They can place him on their G-League team and if the Knicks ever need a player, they can call him up if he is performing well.

Tyler Hall left the Montana State Bobcats as the all-time leading scorer in the Big Sky Conference and was electric to watch during home games in Bozeman. Tyler Hall could be the second Bobcat to ever step on the court of a regular-season NBA game. The first was Keljin Blevins when he played for the Portland Trailblazers last year and is still rostered with them.

From a local standpoint, this is extremely exciting. For players to come from the Montana State Bobcats and be featured in an NBA game is awesome. This will help with recruiting and add more excitement to Bobcat games. This can help build the program and make them even more formidable in the future.
