So which lake takes the top spot? Seeley? Lake McDonald? Quake Lake? None of those. According to the site, the most beautiful lake in Montana is Flathead Lake.
I'm not surprised that this was the top pick, but I'm not sure I agree with it. Don't get me wrong, I love Flathead Lake, I mean it's massive and very impressive, but the most beautiful? I'm not sure I would go there. I think the lakes in Glacier National Park are stunning, so I would lean more in that direction, but they didn't ask me.
If you didn't know, Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi and covers almost 200 square miles with a maximum depth of 370 feet. Flathead is also one of the cleanest lakes in the world and attracts hundreds of thousands of folks each year to enjoy all that the lake offers.
