Montana Yogo Sapphires - The Gemstone Of Royalty

In Montana, the sapphires we find are typically cornflower blue, but there are several variations of them.  The name for these sapphires is also different depending on where they were located.  Montana Yogo sapphires are in reference to those that are found in the main location of the gems in Montana.  That being the Yogo Gulch in the Little Belt Mountains, located in Judith Basin County.  Other gems from the state are simply referred to as Montana sapphires.
